What is Blended Learning?

Blended learning has been around for a long time, but its popularity was not firmly established until e-learning took hold. The term blended learning involves "combining Internet and digital media with live classroom interaction that require the physical presence of teacher and students."

The advantages of blended learning is that students can gain knowledge about the content that will be presented in a live classroom, thereby coming to class with questions. Blended learning saves time and money for an organzation and is now widely being accepted as a viable educational concept.
